Let’s be real. There are millions of programs out there that boast reading improvement. Moreover, hundreds of thousands tout success. My team and I built the iReadE Academy based on years of experience and observations in and out of the classroom. Here’s what I found to be true:

• Most children are bored with curriculum that is not culturally appropriate and responsive
• Many children are overwhelmed by “learning rules” and lack the comprehension skills to understand how to apply the rules when engaging with a variety of content
• Even the most intelligent students encounter challenges maintaining focus, especially during short-frame instruction
• Lots of children spend empty time on educational games and programs that don’t inspire them to practice, achieve, and maintain academic integrity
• ALL children struggle with reading because of their environment, moreover:They lack safe and brave learning spaces where one-on-one support guides them through practicing and improving their literacy skills
  They are inundated with performative measures that don’t support their natural abilities and, thus are reluctant to read
  

Every fact stated above was considered before and during the development of The iReadE Academy. As Head Imaginarian, I knew I needed to account for the mishaps that traditional methods suggest and dig deeper into the psyche of all the children I’ve encountered and taught over the past eight years. I had to bring their confusion, inability to try, and lack of confidence to the table to unravel it and piece it back together as a tried and true solution. The result is a dynamic system with proof of value built by a parent, educator, cultural communications specialist, and humanist deeply concerned with the present state of education. I don’t believe anymore. I KNOW that literacy is the key to solving ALL of humanity’s challenges, and I’m willing to go beyond to prove it with this groundbreaking system, one child at a time.

Unlocking your child’s potential isn’t a trendy catchphrase; it's an actionable step parents can take to support their child’s physical, intellectual, and emotional growth and development. Because Imagiread understands the layers of uniqueness all children possess, we take that step with parents so they know how a true strategic support system works. We begin with identifying the learner’s needs. Through a simple survey, parents will respond to a few basic questions about their learner. Responses inform the creation of activities and exercises for the initial iAssessement.

The iAssessment is a game-based evaluation that uses the ARIS Tool* to detect literacy development skills, abilities, and deficiencies. When completed, the analysis outlines struggle areas and opportunities for improvement. I developed the ARIS Tool* to focus intently on two key areas: adaptability and competency. With the evaluation complete, I align the outcomes with the learner’s projected state standard recommendations and present such to the parent for review.

Taking the next step together

Reviewing results from the iAssessment is easy; all outcomes are visually organized to clearly indicate strengths and areas for improvement. When results are reviewed, parents are encouraged to reconvene with me personally for additional and further clarification.

The TRU iQ guarantee

In less than 6 weeks, you'll get your child's TRU iQ, and they will be on their way to strengthening their engagement style, improving their reading confidence, and understanding how to implement personalized reading hacks as they transition through the learning to read and reading to learn grades and stages. 

With the blueprint in hand, parents can choose a custom weekly engagement learning plan. Plans are personalized based on observations gleaned during the iAssessment and designed with complementary strength-building exercises. Parents receive a milestone report at the end of the fifth week of one-on-one engagement. Otherwise known as a progress report, this analysis captures processes for the learner to focus on. We call this report the iReadE report. It’s a comprehensive snapshot of the learner’s temperament and attachment styles, offering additional insight into how the learner adapts and performs. This critical overview will follow the learner throughout their life, being the key determinant of success. We encourage parents to weigh the results of this report heavily and, therefore, offer opportunities to schedule a convenient one-on-one meeting to understand its content further.

With TRU iQ results in-hand and reviewed, it’s time for the learner to level up in The iReadE Academy. Learners will practice the skills acquired as they embark upon themed Imagireading Adventures. Once the learner joins, we ask the learner to commit one hour weekly to signing on and finishing the short-frame exercises. At the end of the month, we host Power Skill Drills, where we gather as a community and activate our power skills in the real world, expanding enrichment and helping learners to make career connections.

Invitations to join The iReadE Academy are exclusive. My team and I thought long and hard about accessibility and inclusivity during the programming development process. Just like a teacher in the classroom, it’s impossible to care for 30 children in the same way. We intend to maximize engagement, which means there has to be a limit.
