Over the years, Imagiread has done all sorts of things to engage in an ongoing conversation about how equitable access to quality culturally responsive literacy development instruction needs to be first and foremost leading early childhood education. We’ve been fortunate to meet and work with some incredible individuals who share the same values throughout. Authors and educators are by far and favorites.
In January, Imagiread launched its Meet the Author Series to offer the community some context on how literacy development challenges in early education aren’t new, nor have they drastically improved over the years. Featuring authors who have been committed to bridging the gap with their works and grassroots activism, the series is heading its sixth interview and will showcase the overflowing talents of Gladys Elizabeth.

Author of A Charmed Life, Monster Slayer, Pink Fire Trucks, and Rubber Shoes, Gladys is the early childhood educator behind Chuchosbooks that is invested in crafting stories for children that healthily depict family, community, and all of the imagination in between. We’ll be talking to her live on June 13, 2021, at 4:00 PM CST live on Facebook about all she’s accomplished during her transformational leadership tenure and what she foresees our children need the most in these most pressing times. Be sure to follow us on Facebook for updates and check out the incredible interview Gladys put together to feature Imagiread here.
