It’s Water Time, Ma!
Water is and has always been very important to me. Thinking back to my childhood I was terrified by large bodies of water and couldn’t stand for my eyes to contact while getting my hair washed. Today, how different am I that I have to, and I mean have to, have great bodies of water in my life…daily.
When I wrote “It’s Water Time, Ma!” I felt as whole as I could ever. The story just tumbled out of me but had a greater meaning, what I deem as my constitution. My 3 precious suns force me to revisit this constitution as a mom everyday. They encourage me to be a free-flowing and reflective as the waters are so that they can in turn be. If you are a parent, I strongly encourage you to purchase a copy and share this book with someone you love. “What I like most about “It’s Water Time, Ma!” is how it incorporated the importance of water (from the expansion of it covering much of the Earth’s surface to how it is much needed for energy) and how it integrated that with the importance of family and customs. I loved how the story came full circle with Tiem, a vibrant child in his own right, wanting to share “water time” with his mother – thus the tradition of preserving this viable resource is continued.
