I have a confession. No, you don’t have to sit down for it but if you wish you may. My confession is I secretly love and adore stories about loving my stories! Phew! I am so glad to have gotten that out because now I can tell you what I really wanted you to know.
Two days ago I got a text from a dear friend with the picture below attached. The title of the text read “Story Time” and there was no body in the message. I couldn’t do anything but smile the biggest smile. I am still glowing from it.
I wanted to share the picture with everyone because it alone has a million words in it both spoken and not. I wanted us all to be reminded the powerful impact of sharing reading experiences with our children as a valuable, if not the most, specialty there is. I won’t prolong this post with the history of storytelling and how through the years it was the very fabric that saved and created lives but I will tell you this much; reading has the ability to cure ANY problem, issue, ailment or otherwise. It’s a phenomena for sure and guaranteed to give instantaneous results. There you have it my take on what Story Time REALLY is. Please keep dedicating time to read as a family FOR your family.
